A: Measure from pit to pit
B: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem

Your dog should stand still when measuring. Measure around the widest part of the CHEST. The BACK LENGTH is measured from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, meaning from where the collar sits to where the tail begins.
